17/9/2011? What was it?? Haha. I'm happy to announce that me & him just got engaged on that day! Alhamdulillah. Eventho there was some obstacles, my engagement day was running so well and i'm officially one step forward to be called a bride! OMG!

My theme on that day was turquoise blue + white. n some baby pink for flowers

Guess what?! We had almost everything done by ourselves! My pelamin, and my hantaran, was decorated by my mom, big sis n myself. Even the dais pun my mom yang tukang n paku sendiri gune lebih2 kayu buat rumah. Langsir2 tu pun my mom yang jahit sendiri. Well, She's indeed MY SUPER-MAK! I love u mom!

My engagement attire, recycle baju convo kosen last time. Sbb buat baju tu aritu je da riban, Rugi la pulak kalau sekali je pakai kan.. Just plus a short veil which i bought at Gulatis.

Our hantaran was 9 dulangs returned 7.

And then, my make-up??? it was done by my magic hands! Muahaha! Magic la sgt~!

Since our family are very talented in cooking, we had our food done by ourselves as well, except for the briyani rice. *whoohoo~* The menu was, rendang daging, gulai daging, ayam goreng rempah, acar nenas, udang masak merah *lauk ape lagi, x igt* Then, some kueh-mueh, dessert n fruits. Ouh! Suddenly thinking bout my mom's fabulous cooking...yummeh! *drooling*

Just a quick update about my university. University of Fukui

This is where i park my bicycle everyday.

Right there, is the tallest building in my university. Heard rumour about someone attempted suicide and jumped off the building. True or not, i don't know.

Some stalls opened during the university festival. Mostly non-halal foods. Telan air liur je..

TEA TIME : cheese choc cake recipe.

Recipe:

A)Base:

120 g biskut *hancurkan

70 g butter cair

B)Lapisan cheese

250 g cream cheese

gula *x igt baper gram,so campur sumer bahan then letak gula sikit2 sambil kacau dan rase. agak2 da manis ok le tuu..

2 keping biskut hancur *lebih pun ok je

150 g whip cream

#1 1/2 sb gelatin halal

#80 ml susu

#didihkan susu sambil letak gelatin. i use microwave. N

make sure susu dulu baru gelatin! kalo x gelatin melekat kat cawan. Kacau sampai gelatin cair ok.

#Tuang adunan ke atas lapisan A dan masukkan dlm peti ais.

C)Choc mousse

250 g whip cream

bbrp titik vanilla essence

1 sb gelatin + 6 sb air panas

50 g koko

80 g icing sugar

1 sb nescafe + 1 1/2 sb air panas

+ susu pekat sket kalo pahit

D)Choc ganache

25 g koko

50 g gula

150 g whip cream

80 g cooking choc

30 g butter

#Original recipe gune biskut digestive, tapi dah dieksperimen dengan biskut oreo, biskut lemon cream, etc. Hehe. Inti2 biskut pon belasah je masukkan sekali. ^^

Lastly, dah lapis2kan die, letak dalam peti ais semalaman.

Yg ni x letak choc mousse pon. sbb malas!hehe. Buat 2 lapisan je. Lapisan bawah choc brownies (resepi lain) Lapisan atas ikut resepi B)Lapisan cheese tu gune biskut Ritz.

Yang ni oreo version. Agak selebet.

Tokyo Disneysea

hello peeps~ i'm going to warn you right now that you r going to be jealous by this post unless you've been to Tokyo, Hong Kong, Paris, or California.. hehe. But what is the similarity between those cities? yes! They all have one of the happiest place on earth! Disneyland! None other than Japan, it has not only Disneyland but also Disneysea.. Tokyo Disneysea is the one and only disneysea in the world and the most expensive amusement park ever built! Forget everything ya know about amusement park coz they are different! (Universal Studio maybe accepted)

I've been 2 times to disneyland and 2 times to the disneysea. All in all, i love Tokyo Disneysea more and i think that it is better than the Tokyo Disneyland next door coz their rides are much more fun and challenging.

Some of my favorite rides are Journey to the Center of the Earth; they bring you touring inside a volcano with magma, fire, thunder, lightning struck and dinosaurs effect.. Another one is Indiana Jones Adventure; temple of the crystal skulls.

This is a hallway to go to a ride called 20,000 League Under the sea. It's kind of submarine ride which takes you under the sea to see aliens, sea creatures, and colourful man-made coral reefs with special lightning effect etc.. The coral reef was really beautiful and amazing!!

Last but not least, it was such a cold weather but a warmth memories coz i was there with my love ones!

@TOJIMBO CLIFFS, FUKUI

3hb 5, public holiday di seluruh Jepun bersempena Hari Kenpo kinen-bi @ Constituition Memorial Day. Apeke menatang eh Constituition Memorial Day tuh labu?? Ntah! Korang gugel la sindri kalo nak tau~ So... cuti nak watpe huh? Duk rumah?bosan. Nak jenjalan? bukan de tempat menarek sangat kat Fukui ni.. Yang ade satu je, Tojimbo Cliffs. Dak2 junior ajak g lepak kat Tojimbo tengok sunset aritu.. hurm... Tho dah kesekian kalinye gi Tojimbo tuh layan jelaa labu~~ Dapat juge makan sotong bakar ngan askem.. heehu!

Tojimbo cliffs ni memang feymes tempat org Jepun bunuh diri. Kat tebing ni siap de pondok telefon pastu siap ade org tinggalkan no.tefon utk orang2 yg nak cube bunuh diri kat situ boleh call no. ni kalau nak consult masalah diorang. Ade sorang pakcik tua Jepun ni, lepas die bersare dari polis, die abihkan mase die selamatkan orang2 yg nak bunuh diri. Feymes gak pakcik ni coz die dah selamatkan dalam 200++ orang gak la yg tried to attempt suicide kat cliff ni..

Dekat2 ngan area cliff ni ade pulau kt tgh skit kat laut tu.. Orang kate pulau tu berantu. Sebab pe? Banyak mayat2 org yg bunuh diri kat cliff ni hanyut kat pulau tu.. HoO..Ape r orang Jepun ni.. sikit2 bunuh diri. Relak r~ sumer orang pon ade probs gak.. isk isk..

Oh! Tengok kat gamba tuh, sebelah area cliffs ni ade nuclear plantation gak. (sumber letrik umah kitorang kot?) hurm... jgn laa apape jadi kat nuclear power plant ni. Kalo x, sure kitorg kat Fukui ni kene evacuate gak coz area umah around 20km jer dari tojimbo ni..

(Btw, ape jd ngn Fukushima?? is it really safe now or not? Jgn balik Msia kang aku jadi mutant udahle.. tsk tsk)

Sotong, scallops, udangs, n jagungs bakar. (don't tetipu tipah, yg kat atas utk display tuh bukan makanan betul! Tuh sumer made from lilin... siyesly! Bile kite order baru die masak. Makan pepanas masyuk woo!)

Ni askem2 display ni pon dari lilin gak. Ade memacam perise. Vanilla, coklat, strawbery, tu sumer standart je.. Tapi kt Jepun ni banyak lagi perise pelik2 yang ade. Yang askem kaler kelabu tu perise 'goma' @bijan hitam. (x suke bijan, so x nah try) Kaler hijau perase 'maccha' @teh hijau (x ske teh hijau gak!) Yang kaler itam tu lak die buh kacang merah. (hmm..x minat gak) Lagi yang kuning tuh perise keledek manis (oh, yang ni saye suke! Keledek Jepun mmg best!) Nak lagi pelik, ade askem perise sotong, udang, bakgai! (Cam geli kot nak makan! haha)

King crabs!!! Beso sioooot! Kaki sebelah je lagi panjang dari standart size pinggan makan. Tapi harge pon agak mahal laa... Sesekali teringin penah gak beli. Buat rendang lagi! hohoho. Buat butter crab pon sedap gak nih! Isi die memang mantap ma~!

La la la~ ♬♬ *perut berbunyi riang* Bukan sebab lapa.. tp sebab tengah riang coz musim sejuk yg menyeksakan jiwa raga dah berlalu juge akhirnye. Ow yeaayh! Siyesly wa cakap lu, winter (except snowboard thingy) memang gile tak best! Bayangkan bebulan2 duk dalam tempat suhu serendah 0 darjah celcius.. nak kene redah salji gi kelas ari2 memang naik beku darah dalam kepale! Sepanjang 3 months winter, idung duk berair berhingus je. Kadang memalam berdarah lak lagi. Nak tido pon x selesa bebulan2 idung asik tersumbat je kejenye..

Dalam rumah memang ade heater. Tp dalam bilik tido jela tu pun x la gune 24 jam. Kalo gune 24 jam mapoh duk bayar bil letrik mahal gile x makan nasik aku karang. Tho pasang heater, barang2 dalam umah still sejuk gak sume. Nak study kat meja, meja sejuk, buku sejuk, komputer sejuk..katil sejuk, selimut pon sejuk! Kalo dah abih balut badan lelame dalam selimut tebal baru panas skit. Bile study, tangan kene duk lua selimut. Baru menulis kejap tangan dah naik kejung dah. Nak wat keje kat komputer pun menaip kejap pon dah kebas2 sebab sejuk sgt..

Kua je bilik tido, g masak kt dapo tergigil-gigil, dalam jamban tergigil-gigil, g basuh baju tergigil-gigil. Bak kate buat ape bende pon sumer nak kene gigil2. Kat dalam bilik tido yg ade heater tu pon still duk bungkus badan ngn selimut tetebal, takkan g masak g berak nk pakai simut kot?

Pastu time winter, musim poket plg senang rabak.. hari2 gune heater bil letrik berkali gande naik. Air mandi, air basuh tangan, basuh pinggan sumer pon nk kene gune air panas, make dgn itu juge bil gas pon naik melambung! Before ni umah lame jauh skit dr sekolah, time winter beskal dah x leh pakai dah.. nak jalan kaki, 1 jam kot baru sampai sbb jalan licin beku berais. Jgn kate nk jalan 1 jam, baru bukak pintu kua rumah je hingus da meleleh. So, tepakse la naik kete ari2 g skolah. Kalo kete cam kete kancil tu xpe la jugek, ni kete sports! Duk berulang alik ari2 g skolah pakai Celica merah ak tu memang duet minyak mengalir cam sungai! Kalo aliran cam hingus x pela gk aliran die lembab skit.. (Ni baru rabak sebab bil2, rabak utk snobod, winter hols, winter bargain sale laa.. haih~)

Bagi orang jepun, ketibaan spring memang dinanti2..sebab tu ade perayaan hanami.

Teringat dulu mase memule baru sampai jepun, time tu musim bunga, ade cikgu kat Nagaoka bawak jalan g picnik.. Pastu ikut la die jalan kaki panjat bukit tinggi gile semate2 sbb nak tengok pemandangan hutan n pokok2 hijau dari atas.. Ak yg bru dtg dr Msia n sungguh x biase berhiking2 nih sampai atas duk termengah2 la n x faham apelah org2 jepun ni sonok sgt tgk pokok nih. Cikgu tu ckp ''bagi diorg musim bunga macam bawa kehidupan baru bg diorg,'' Hmm.. lepas berbulan lalu winter kt sini baru aku faham... Yela..winter kan mendung n dull je..jalan basah, matahari pun x nmpk, pokok pon gondol je.. Tgk pokok mule tumbuh daun tumbuh bunge rase excited la kut~

Harini ramai rakan2 seMalaysia mula pulang ke Malaysia... tengok sumorang cabutt balik Msia rase homesick nak balik lah pulak~ edeih! Tapi ape nak buat? Next week nak kene pindah rumah laen. (ade sesape nk tulung ak pindah? kang ak blanje?) So, by this week kene pack barang sumer. 2 minggu lg lak dah nak bukak skolah. Kalau nak balik Msia skang pon tiket flight da mahal giler kut... One way flight je dah nak dekat RM4ribu! whoaaa~~ kayap den! Huu~~ bertahan jela yang mampu...

Bout nuclear crisis in Fukushima, entah camane situation skang pon tak tau la... bace news Jepun, sumer kate dah stabil... bukan ditahap merbahayekan kesihatan... Tapi bile bace news omputih, bunyi macam serious n dasat jer... siap kate government Jepun x cakap hal sebenar pada rakyat lah... itu la..ini lah... sampai rase cam scary giler pulak stay kt jpn nih. Ker news yg suke exaggerate nak kasi hot taktau laa...

Arini, helicopter still duk angkut2 air laut and tuang kt reactor tu to keep them from overheating. Kalau nuclear fuel tu overheat, berlaku lah bende paling scary skali iaitu 'nuclear meltdown'!! Oh,harap2 la reactor2 tuh cpt2 cooling. 今日、募金箱に金髪にピアスの若い兄ちゃんが万札数枚入れていた。そしてその友人に｢ゲームなんていつでも買えるからな｣と言っていたのが聞こえて私含め周りの人達も募金していた。人は見た目じゃないことを実感した。そんなお昼でした。この話感動しました。

A goth youth with white hair and body piercings walked into my store and shoved several hundred dollars (several tens of thousands of yen) into the disaster relief fund donation box. As he walked out, I and people around me heard him saying to his buddies, “I mean, we can buy those games anytime!” At that, we all opened our wallets and put our money into the donation box. ディズニーランドでは、ショップのお菓子なども配給された。ちょっと派手目な女子高生たちが必要以上にたくさんもらってて「何だ？」って一瞬思ったけど、その後その子たちが、避難所の子供たちにお菓子を配っていたところ見て感動。子供連れは動けない状況だったから、本当にありがたい心配りだった

At Tokyo Disneyland:

Tokyo Disneyland was handing out its shops’ food and drinks for free to the stranded people nearby. I saw a bunch of snobby looking highschool girls walking away with large portions of it and initially though “What the …” But I later I found out they were taking them to the families with little children at emergency evacuation areas. Very perceptive of them, and a very kind thing to do indeed.

バイト先に若いお兄さんたちが軍団でお酒を買いに来たんだけど、その中の一人が｢やべえ、オレお酒のためにしかお金持ってきてないから募金できん。ちょっとこれ買うのやめるわ｣って言って商品返品してそのお金全部募金してた。お友達も続々と募金しててすごい感動した。すごいよ

Not enough money!

At the store where I work, a huge group of young men suddenly came in to buy booze. One of them suddenly said, “Oops, I only have enough money to buy booze, I can’t donate! Forget the booze, maybe next time!” and instead put ALL his money into the disaster relief donation box. One by one, every single one of the army of youths threw all their money into the box after him. What a heart-warming sight that was!

何時間も歩き続けてたんだけど、至る所でトイレかしますとか、休憩できますとか言うビルや飲食店が沢山あって感動しました。とある企業ビルの人がボランティアで、○○線運転再開ですー！とか、休憩できますー！！って呼びかけてるの見て感動して泣きそうになったマジでw日本も捨てたもんじゃないな

A big, kind voice

I’ve been walking for many hours now. I’m touched at how everywhere I turn, there are shops open with people shouting “Please use our bathroom!” or “Please rest here!” There were also office buildings where people with access to information were voluntarily shouting out helpful tips, like “**** line is now operational!” Seeing things like this after walking for hours and hours made me feel like weeping with gratitude. Seriously, there is still hope for this country!

僕は感動しました。バイトの先輩が1人でも救うために寒い中紙に「バイクでよければ送ります」と書き駅前で掲げ鳶職のお兄ちゃんを所沢まで送ったそうです。世の中まだ捨てたもんじゃないなって思いました。本当に尊敬です！！自分もなんか人の役に立ちたいと生まれて初めて思いました。

I just have a bike

I’m so touched! My colleague at my part time job, wanting to help even just one extra person, wrote a sign saying “I just have a bike, but if you don’t mind hop on!”, rode out on his motorbike, picked up a stranded construction worker and took him all the way to Tokorozawa! Respect! I have never felt so strongly that I want to do something helpful for others.

警備員の友人何人かが町田〜相模大野で夜間警備のボランティアをしていたので手伝ってきた。年齢問わずいろんな知らない人同士が助け合っていて心強かった。ちょっと感動してトイレの隅で泣いた。

The beauty of helping one another

I went out last night to help some friends who were volunteering as security personnel between Machida City and Sagami Ohno City. I saw total strangers, both young and old, helping each other along everywhere I turned and was heartened with an overwhelming feeling of encouragement. I was so touched I hid behind the toilets and cried.

タクシー運ちゃんと電車駅員さんとおばさんと話したけど、みんな遅くまで帰れなかったりしてすごく疲れているのに、苛立つ事なく、言葉遣いもふるまいも丁寧で、逆に気遣われてしまった。｢みんな大変だから｣という"みんな"って意識があることに感動するし、私も受け継いで大事にしたい文化。

“All of us”

I spoke with an old taxi driver and some elderly staff at the train stations. All of them had been working non-stop and had not been able to go home for a long time. They were visibly very tired, but never once did they show any sign of impatience; they were gentle and very caring. They told me “… because all of us are in this together.” I was touched at what the notion of “all of us” meant to these elderly people. It is a value I will treasure and carry on to my generation.

I just came back safely from the supermarket! Man, I was so touched at how everyone there was mindful of others, buying only as much as they needed and leaving the rest for the people behind them.

日本って凄い。官僚も民間も、皆で助けようとしてる。トラックの運転手も有志で物資運んでるらしいし、東北の交通整備をヤクザさんがやってるという話も聞いた。最近、日本に対して誇りを持てないことが続いていたけれど、そんなことない。日本は凄い国だ。素直に感動してる。日本国の皆さん頑張ろう！

Japan is a wonderful nation!

Both the government and the people, everyone is helping one another today. There are truck drivers helping evacuees move. I even heard that the “yakuza” (gangsters, organized crime groups) are helping to direct traffic in the Tohoku region! There have been many recent developments that have made me lose my sense of pride in my country, but not anymore. Japan is an amazing place! I’m just simply touched. Go Japan!

ホームで待ちくたびれていたら、ホームレスの人達が寒いから敷けって段ボールをくれた。いつも私達は横目で流してるのに。あたたかいです。

Card board boxes, Thank you!

It was cold and I was getting very weary waiting forever for the train to come. Some homeless people saw me, gave me some of their own cardboard boxes and saying “you’ll be warmer if you sit on these!” I have always walked by homeless people pretending I didn’t see them, and yet here they were offering me warmth. Such warm people.

ディズニーシーに一泊した娘、無事帰宅しました！キャストのみなさんが寒い中でも笑顔で接してくれて不安を感じることなく過ごせたそうです。防寒のカイロやビニール袋、夜・朝の軽食と飲み物、おやつまで。ディズニーの素晴らしさに感動です。頑張ってくれたキャストさん、ほんとにありがとう！！

Many, many thanks to the staff who worked very hard in the cold with ready smiles that made her to feel safe and secure during the entire night. They brought her food, drinks, snacks, heating pads, and anything necessary to ensure she was comfortable and secure throughout her stay. I was touched by the Disney staff’s warmth and hospitality. Amazing! My brother just managed to get home from Disneyland right now. He’s got bags and bags of free sweets. Furthermore, Disneyland paid for every customer’s travel fare back. All night long, the staff responded immediately and fully to every request he made. Disneyland is truly a world class brand!

都営大江戸線の光ヶ丘方面行きは、非常に混雑しています。ホームにも、改札の外にも、電車を待つ溢れんばかりの人。でも、誰一人列を崩さず、通路を開け、係員の誘導に従っている。ロープがあるわけでもないのに、通る人のための通路スペースが。その不自然なほどの快適さに、ただただ感動するばかり。

On the platform

The Oedo Subway Line for Hikarigaoka is very congested. On the platform and at the gate there are just crowds and crowds of people waiting for the train. But in all the confusion, every last person is neatly lined up waiting his or her turn while managing to keep a passage of space open for staff and people going the other way. Everyone is listening to the instructions from the staff and everyone acts accordingly. 1. akhbar KOSMOs lebih mementingkan nasib pelakon porno Jepun, Maria Ozawa, daripada nasib kami student2 Malaysia di Jepun?

RATU PORNO SELAMAT DALAM GEMPA BUMI?? wadefak?! Tak nak tanye nasib kami ni macam mane? Cedera ke tidak? Ade bantuan makanan ke tidak? Kesejukan ke tidak? Kalau pon taknak amek pedulik ngan naseb kami org2 Malaysia di Jepun ni, x de orang lain lagi ke yang kau nak risaukan hah?? Punyela banyak lagi manusia terbilang kat Jepun ni, pelakon lucah ni jugak yang kau sebuk2 eh?? Hape? Hebat sangat ke minah ni?

Lagi tersentuh, video ini dipost oleh rakan saya, salah seorg mangse gempa bumi M8.9 di Iwate (pusat gempa bumi)yang kini masih di kem penempatan sementare, dengan statusnye; Thanks Allah, kami dapat bantuan makanan ari ni.. but this stupid video sgt buatkan rase... i don't wanna go home :(

Apehal lak org kat Malaysia yang jauh beribu batu tu pulak mengade-ngade nak daruratkan diri sendiri wat perintah berkurung lakni?? Kalau org Malaysia pon da tahap kene berkurung, kitorang yang kat Jepun ni hape? Dah nyawe2 ikan kering? Dah nak mampos??? Excuse me! aku alhamdulillah sihat lagi kat sini okeyh! 2 p.m : Mak dan ayah Ul naik flight di KLIA bertolak ke Mekah utk mengerjakan umrah.

2.30 pm ~ : Tetibe apartment Ul tingkat ke-3 kt Fukui ni goyang-goyang. Takla kuat sangat tapi agak lame juge...Call aki yg kt Tokyo, x de line. Rase seram plak. Sbb sensorg kut. B4 ni pernah je rase earthquake M6.0 time duduk Nagaoka dulu. Fukui kali ni x sampai 6.0 pun...

Sambil rumah gegar2,selak langsir bilik, nampak pakcik2 kedai mahjung berkumpul kat lua sambil tgk bangunan ni gegar2. ( tingkat 1 bangunan ni, kedai mahjung. Everyday byk la kerete2 mewah park kt sini, n org2 mahjung tu punyerlaa lengan bertattoo2. Ntah2 yakuza! Scary! tp diorg slalu je tego kitorg juge..) kedai2 convenient store cam 7eleven sume barang habes (maybe org prepare for the worst situation kut so bli byk2 food), tempat berteduh takde... org2 ramai ade yg berteduh kt ATM yg kecik tuh, atau lobby2 hotel, atau pon berbaris menunggu giliran dpt masuk cyber cafe.

Time die duk kt lobby satu hotel ni, ade la chef hotel tu keluar kasi hot towel n onigiri (rice ball) kat org ramai.. Last2, pukul 2 a.m dpt jugak masuk cyber cafe n lepak situ smpi pagi.

Mak n ayah Ul yg bertolak ke Mekah lak da sampai di Oman untuk transit flight. Time tu mak ayah baru dengar news pasal Jepun. Mak risau, trus sms akak kt Msia.

Alhamdulillah dengar notis dr embassy student2 Malaysia di Jepun semua selamat.

Parents Aki juge selamat sampai di Narita airport. Parents Ul di Mekah pule mesti risau ni tak tau dengar pasal Jepun tp tak dpt nk bertanye khabar sgt..

Tapi, disaster ketiga pulak dtg, reaktor nuklear du Fukushima meletop. Walaupun few hours after that dah dikomfemkan bahawe yg meletup tu cume dinding luar reaktor je, tp nuclear leak possibility tu masih ade.

My first blog entry in 2011! Sorry followers, it's been a long time i didn't update my blog.

As I started studying in Fukui University, my life in Fukui was so damn buzy for the whole 2010, with more work and more stress. That's why I couldn't
write often.
I didn't write about the new year, my birthday, my new apartment, and many more impo
rtant things.
Sorry I'm not saying that I'll close my blog, but
the order o
f the important things has changed.
Now spring holiday has started, I got some time on my hands and and try to run my fingers on the keyboard again. 頑張るわ！

Now, I've returned from my hiatus. Soooo...what have I been up to?

Thinkin' bout 2010, the first thing pops up in my mind is 製図 (LK, arc
hitecture stuff etc). Yes. A year of tons of seizu project.. You know wut, i need to collect
all 12　単位 (pointer) for seizu subject last year. Dammit! Life was like a he
ll. Seriously!

As I reflect about my 2010, I realize 2010 was definitely the hardest year ever. But I still managed to create some good moments with my love ones!

I had great reunions with my schoolmates at Tokyo Disneysea, Enoshima beach, outings at Harajuku etc... I think the not so great things were outweighed by the good things and that in itself is a good thing!

I hope everyone has a happy 2011! Goodbye 2010 and welcome 2011!

Kenduri durian wif the Japanese

wuwuwuwu~~~ da beribu-ribu taun ropanya aku x update blog aku nih..! since pindah Fukui ni my life is so daaaaaamn buzy! repoto + seizu melambak2 everyweek sungguh cam siput sedut(suck)!! Now, summer holiday has just started and i got some leisure time to activate my blog again. Osu! gambaru!!

Topic for today is - DURIAN! ohoho. sangat random okay~~! :P I bet there's no Malaysian whose never tasted durian rite? Durian is a fruit which is well liked in Malaysia, but westerners or japanese usually hate it (tabezuni kirai) because it has a weird smell that is difficult to describe. The taste of durian might differ to each and every one. Some says it smell like rotten cheese,smelly socks, s**t （失礼ですな！）etc, but to me it tastes something like garlic+milk+onions+butter+honey, all in one bite of creamy custard! @_@ ..it sounds so weird but I don't hate it. eheh!

Here, in Japan, i've always been asked "uriya-chan,have u tasted a durian?","what does durian is actually taste like?"etc.. Well, most of my Japanese friends never taste durian and don't know what does the flesh really looks like. The only facts that they know, durian is kind of really stinky fruit and the husk is covered with thorns!

(Cite yg da agak basi tho...) When i was in my 1st year,some of my lecturers n friends from Nagaoka kosen came to Malaysia. Coincidently,they happened to do homestay in my hometown,Banting. During the vacation i brought them to my house to have some snacks and fruits includes a bucket of durians. Haha!

I miss Nagaoka kosen frens and sensei a lot!^^

1st day of Golden Week : house-warming party

After a month I moved to Fukui and all things are settled in, along with Aki n Amal, we threw a house-warming party at my house. Just like what it is called, we invited others in to help "warm" our new house to make the house feel like more of a home.

The guest : all Malaysian in Fukui. It was a bit surprised that my house can fit 40 people in..

Waaaaa~~~!!! Tup-tup da 3 tahun dah duk jepun nih! Suke-duke, pahet-manis, masam-masin sumer dah rase! Dari zaman memuler dtg jepun, yg sangaaat x reti ckp nihongo...lgsg x leh pikap pekebende org jepun ni ckp... ngn culture shock hitu hini! manyakk sungguh yg sudah kulalui kt negare org ni upenye~~

Org kt malaysia maybe pikir yg dak msia kt jepun ni nmpak cm asik maen jer..melancong jer... diorg x taw betape teseksanye kami study kt cni! Susah gilos nk study, wat report, assignment, thesis,denga lectures, salin note pesumer in 100% japanese nih!! blajar betaun2 english kt msia pon x pandai2 gk..pelagi lam bhs jepun yg cumer blajar 2 taun je! I've been really busy this February... with final exams(just had two papers today.. Physic n Maths*死んだ*), thesis, research, preparation for final presentation etc and it's kinda stressful at the moment... Took a short break from my hectic life, i went to yokohama arena last week on wednesday 10th for BIG BANG electric love tour concert 2010 .yeah!just to see my boys! Well...when you have had enough of work, all you want is a holiday that will rejuvenate you,rite?? This is my 3rd and last year live in Nagaoka,one of the most snowy places in Japan. Well...as you see,the scenery is beautiful....BUT! hurm~~~~ you got the pictures..,try imagine it urself!

LIFE ISN'T EASY!! We have to go thru this small path from hostel to the carpark. It's cold to death and my jeans get wet everytime... SUCK! Perjalanan yg dekat jd cm beritu batu! Actually laluan tu longkang yg ditutup ngn besi jaring2 so snow x membeku kt ctu... ~the only way to get to our car. Of course they do clear the main road and carparks infront of the college and hostel but not at here. Since we are not allowed to bring car to school we have to park the car behind the college..

雪壁 'yukikabe' = snow wall.... white.white.white.yucks! Can't count how many times i fell down coz of the slippery roads..

model : diri sindri. these photos taken during my 2 days and 1 night homestay.

pic 1 : picture taken infront of my host family's house in mitsuke town. it's a japanese traditional style house but it is quite huge mansion as my host family seems like a really rich family in the town. the host parents (i called them mama and papa) own a lot of apartment buildings, car garages around the town which they give rent to people. they also own a car company. sugoi deshou~

pic 2 : i'm wearing my foster mama's kimono. she wore the kimono when she was 17 years old, and now she is 69 years old! means the kimono already 50 years old!

pic 3 : In the living room?i guest..because it is the nearest room from the 玄関(genkan = entrance). Aside from the entrance area, kitchen, bathroom, and toilet, traditional japanese housing does not have a designated utility for each room . So,any room can be a living room, dining room, study, or bedroom.

During the last summer holiday, some of my college students n leturers came to malaysia. n Again! we got the chance to do 'a part time job' as tour guider and guiding them jalan2 around KL. at first i just volunteered myself to b the tour guider since some of my classmate were there. but then the lecturer told us (malaysian) that we gonna be paid 800yen per hour for the tour services.

yeay!! you know how much is 800yen?? 800yen= RM30. i was there from 9 a.m ~ 6 p.m. 9hours x 800yen. wooohooo~!! bleh g shopping! yeay! no one doesn't like money rite? especially for shopaholic like me. heheh

kibi dango and momotaro

Today, we enjoyed some kibi dango (sedare mare kueh koci gk kot...) at kenkyuu lab. it was a souvenir from my kenkyuu senior, uchiyama san from his hometown, okayama.

from my lecturer i knew that okayama's kibi dango has a background story related to the japanese Momotaro story and why they are famous in okayama.

Once upon a time there lived an old man an old woman in Okayama. The old man went everyday into the mountains to cut wood, while his wife would go to the river to wash clothes.

One day, while the old woman was down at the river washing clothes, a big peach came floating down the river! It looked so delicious, she decided to take it home for her and her husband to eat.

When the old man came back to their home, the old woman cut the peach open, and to their surprise, there was a small boy inside! They decided to call him Momotaro, which means 'peach boy'.

The old couple raised Momotaro to be big and strong.

One day, he decided to go and defeat the ogres living on Ogre Island that were pillaging the land.

The old woman fixed him some delicious kibi-dango, for his long journey to the island. On the way, a monkey, a dog, and a pheasant joined him and Momotaro gave them a kibi dango each in return for their help in fighting the ogres.

kelmarin, 研究 (research) lab mates aku ajak wat sushi party. party utk celebrate kitorg sume yg dah komfem 大学(university) or 就職(tmpt keje).kebetulan aku 'off day' time tu so aku pon on je la. hahaha! sukati aku je,makan dpn org time bln pose! x snonoh tol! xpe... aku sorg je org Islam, x de sesape pon tau skang ni bln pose! alaa~~ aku x pose bersebab..org laki jgn nk jeles ok! hakhak! syyt~! ni rahsie ni. jgn bitau sesape tau!

dak kenkyuumates aku, sugiyama kun, daimaru kun (japanese) n sodo (mongolian) sedang mengacau natto (sejenis kacang peram yg busuk dan dimakan bersame sushi) uwekk!! bau cm stoking busukk! sorryla guys! i hate natto!

From fiction to reality... , Amuro Ray's RX-78-2 gundam from "Mobile Suit Gundam" has been brought to life in massive 1/1 scale as an 18 meter tall monument! last time i went to odaiba with aki n amal to check out the gundam. yeah! it's really impressive!

As the day was an obon holiday it was extremely crowded!.. n i had a tough time getting good shots. As in the picture i could only took picture with the gundam from the back..huhu

This project is one of japanese method to promote themselves to the world to be the host of olympic 2016.

The gundam statue can moves its head and emits light or mist from its body.

sebenarnye sbb knape pertunjukan bunga api besar2an ni diadakan adalah sebagai tanda terima kasih nagaoka kepada rakyat nagaoka kerana banyak menghulurkan bantuan dan pertolongan sewaktu gempa bumi dasyat di nagaoka bbrp tahun dulu.. dan juga, utk menggembirakan hati penduduk nagaoka yg kehilangan ahli keluarga disebabkan gempa bumi ni...selain trauma yg dihadapi mereka... dan kerana itu juge nagaoka mendapat byk sponsor dr pelbagai syarikat ternama di jepun utk mengadakan pertunjukkan bunga api ini yg da tentunya menelan jutaan wang ringgit...huhu

The shojo manga "Otomen" by Aya Kanno is being turned into a live-action drama series started yesterday. Since otomen is one of my favorite manga i feel so excited to watch the real show! and of course because the hero is sooo ikemen!! haha! 「大事なポイント)」 as usual. hakhak! The show, starring Okada Masaki. Ripe bananas sitting on the counter means it is time to bake!!

my favourite banana chocolate cake. yummy!!

Chocolate Banana Cake:
2 cups (400 grams) granulated white sugar
1 3/4 cups (245 grams) all-purpose flour
3/4 cup (75 grams) cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium sized bananas)
1 cup (240 ml) warm water
1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
1/2 cup (120 ml) safflower or canola oil (ul gune minyak jagung)
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Chocolate Ganache Frosting:
8 ounces (227 grams) semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, cut into small pieces
3/4 cup (180 ml) heavy whipping cream
1 tablespoon (14 gram) unsalted butter

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) and place rack in the center of the oven. Butter, or spray with a non stick vegetable spray, a 9 x 13 inch (23 x 33 cm) pan. Set aside.

2. In a large bowl whisk together the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

3. In another large bowl, whisk together the eggs, mashed bananas, water, milk, oil, and vanilla extract.

4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir, or whisk, until combined.

5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. (ul tmbah mase jd 55~60 mnt)

6. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack. When completely cooled, frost with the Ganache.

last time i had an experiment which i had to collect water samples from every buildings and every floors of my whole college! we were divided into groups. me and the other 4 guys in a same group. bcoz i was the only 1 girl in my group, SO..... i had to follow them to the man's toilets!! takkan diorg laki 3 aku sorg girl nk bwk msk dlm tandas pompuan lak kan?...at first rase cm segan gilerz! it was like " eh, aku ni kne masuk gk ker? ke..kne tggu kt lua je ni..? doushiyou?"... tgh mayotteru( ragu2) kt lua toilet laki tu tetibe my groupmate akihiro paggil, " ulya mo haitte?" (ulya pon jom la masuk skali?) jengx3! seorg budak jepun yg kacak mengajak aku msk ke dlm tandas lelaki...kehx3! naseb bek tyme tu x ramai bebudak kt hostel coz tyme waktu kelas.

It's not a 'Kimono'! It's a 'Hanbok'

In korea both men and women wear the hanbok. In the most basic arrangement, the woman’s hanbok consists of a skirt that wraps above the bust line and a bolero-style jacket with sleeves like wings and a long fabric tie sash . The man’s hanbok is usually a parachute-style pant with ties around the ankles and waist paired with a short jacket and vest.

Personally I think the Japanese kimono is incredibly beautiful,but I find hanbok is more comfortable than the kimono. (But to get a really nice kimono is sooooo expensive!!!!)

See how the kimono wraps very tight and narrow around the woman's body?

If you are wearing kimono, there is no way to take a normal step in that narrow skirt.

I'm sure many people think that sushi is a healthy food...
Yet in reality although it may not have gone through the cooking processes to create trans fat or destroy its nutrition it does come with many other risks as I'll explain.

What are the risks of eating sushi?

Parasites: These organisms are well known to exist in just about any life form they can extract nutrients out of. Fish are no exception! Most times you won't actually notice the effects of a parasite until enough time has passed for it to cause health problems for you. As the entire purpose of a parasite is to remain hidden and not detected, many of the symptoms it can cause you wouldn't even think of such as emotional and mental problems, worsened allergies and asthma amongst other things. Of course they also cause many digestive problems.

GW project 2 - tulip

since it's holiday and the weather also very nice,yesterdey me and the guys (aki,calvin,yan kuang, n muazam) went for a sightseeing at nagaoka echigo hillside park. it just 30 minutes by car from our college. there are 'tulip matsuri' (tulip festival) held every year in this season at the park.

we also had some ice cream at the park. red-rose flavoured soft cream and lavender flavoured soft cream. btw,the red one really taste like sirap+susu=air bandung. haha. for your information,japan have no 'air sirap'!

i put all my purikura stikers collection in this cute purikura's book

Well, I really don't know about the origins of purikura, but it came from Japan and it is super fun! "Purikura" is the combo of part of how you would pronounce "Print Club" in Japanese... as "purinto kurabu". Thus you get ~purikura~! haha

Purikura machines can be found in arcades in Japan and just about anywhere that youth gather. They are usually upright machines that are a little less wide than an arcade video game machine. They generally have a curtain in front of them, and what you do, is get behind the curtain, where you will see a screen. You have a buttons you can use to toggle through the menu options on the screen, and decide what kind of purikura that you want to create, and then you will get your picture taken and it will be printed out as a little sticker. For one payment (400yen in japan) can get 4~32 stickers with different posses.

SAKURA and it's mythical story

Why do you think cherry blossoms bloom so beautifully each year? It's because of the corpse. You see, the flowers on cherry trees used to be white. Pure white... like snow. So... why do you think cherry blossoms turned that pale crimson shade? it's because they drink the blood from the corpse underneath the tree.

The story behind the pink color of the sakura leaves is an especially gruesome and interesting one. As told by Seishirou and Japanese mythology, the color of sakura leaves used to be white. But there was an emperor who decided to bury every fallen warrior (武士) under a sakura tree. The color of the leaves turned pink then, because it was soaking up the blood of the dead warrior.

Seishirou is known as the Sakurazukamori, which is the assassin of the cherry blossom mound/tree, or the sakura tree as it is known in Japan. As the Sakurazukamori, all of Seishirou's victims are buried under the tree and 'fed' to it. The Sakura tree in return feeds the Sakurazukamori its power.

This tale is mostly true as Seishirou told it, but Japanese legend also tells another version of the story that is much the same, but a little different. It is said that every warrior who suffers a sentence of suicide must kill themselves under the sakura tree and then be buried under it. As the tree soaks up the blood of the dead warrior, it leaves become pink. The falling leaves are a Buddhist metaphor for death.

The sakura tree is very connected with the concept death in Japanese lore, and because of this, sakura trees are popular to be grown around temples and burial grounds.

tiba d gimpo airport. belum kua epot lg dah pening2 dah. nk kua dr epot dr epot tuh ntah mende tah die tanye..x paham.. diorg nye english pon ssh nk faham! siyesly! cm japanese speak english la gk kot...
pastu tour guider kami encik iman (kawan aki) membawa kami berjalan ke byk tmpt. antaranye namdaemun market,damdaemun market dan len2. tmpt yg cm x de motif gk pon ade die bwk. hhe. anyway,bcoz of him..dpt la mengurangkan skit kepeningan kami di negara asing neh. hhe.

at namdaemun market borong byk gle brooch.murah lak tu.. gilak ah! rambang mate siut!best! best! (perasaan shopping dgn best sebegini sukar didapati di jepun)

2nd day:lotte world theme park

kami x nek ride attractions byk sgt..coz aki takut ngn rollercoster. hehe. aku ..nek ke x naek ke x la kesah sgt pon...mayb bcoz kt japan dah biase sgt g theme park lg pon lotte world ni agk bosan gk la kalo nk bandingkan ngn tokyo disneyland,disneysea or USJ. so sesape dr jepun yg dtg korea this is not recommended place 4 u. eheh! but for those who loves drama korea ok la kut...coz byk penggambaran drama were made here. like stairway to heaven (this theme park owned by cha song joo - hero of d drama), my sassy girl, n d latest boys before flower. The bottom level of this theme park also has an ice skating rink that Song-ju and Ji-su skated on in Stairway to Heaven and where lee young jae trying to tekel han ji eun in fullhouse. ^_^

semate2 nk g 'rumah penuh' nih punyerla adventurenye perjalanan kami. 1st nek train norikai(tukar) 3 kali.--> pastu nek bas 2 kali smpi kt jeti.--> dr jeti nek kapal pulak smpi pulau. --> then nek bas sekali dr pulau tu g pulau lain lagi satu. --> dr situ nek basikal lg plak g 'rumah penuh' tu. rumah tu plak atas bukit,so knela sorong plak basikal tuu....barulah smpi ke rumah yg dicarik2 tu.... bak kate semate2 nk carik rumah sebuah je sumer kenderaan kami naek! entrance fee 5000won= 300yen kut.

lepas abes menjelajah 'rumah penuh' nih kami kayuh lg beskal ke sad love story drama house lak. about 500m from fullhouse. penat! tp alang2 dah datang jejauh pegi jela tgk... tp coz x de sesaper pon pnh tgk drama ni kitorg decide x mo masuk n just amek2 gmba kt lua je. kalo de mase pasni la baru tgk drama sad love story nih...hhe

5th day : shopping
pagi2,kami dibawa oleh iman ke tmpt jual sutera. cm tmpt jual kain kt jln tuanku abdul rahman la gk rupe die.. aki bli byk. aku x bli. x reti nk pilih. rse corak2 die cm x best jer...karang beli org x minat pulak...so,bli jela brooch lagi bebanyak. hoho.

Japan is a weird country, wait, cancel that. Japan is THE weirdest country. The girls give to guys chocolate on valentine, they celebrate christmas though they mainly dont have any religions,and christmas here is a day for lovers.-w.e.i.r.d.j.a.p.a.n.e.s.e- and dont get me started about their fashions. Lagi dasat n pelik2..But hey, that`s the fun of it! They take in culture from others, renovate it and make it their own~ ( kinda like piracy in Malaysia, only better and money-consuming )

So what does this weird country do for New Year?

Well, for starters, New year for Japanese is like Hari raya for malays, Chinese new year for chinese or Deepavali for indians..It`s that big of a deal. Families get together, go to temple(s), celebrate. And they get money~ ( kinda like duit raya, just they call it Otoshi-dama : 落とし玉...じゃなくて、お年玉 ) so you can savely say that the japanese youths are at the wealthiest during the start of new year.

Thus, sales and a particular phenomenon engulf all of Japan during the year. 福袋Fuku-bukuro.

Do you know what is fukubukuro?

Ok, fukubukuro is basicly a black box. Somethings are in there, you can`t open it unless you bought it first. But fukubukuro always has the total of things that exceeds ( greatly I might add ) the price of the fukubukuro. Aki said it is just a way of japanese to sell off their expensive but unbought things, well, it`s true. Still, it`s a great deal.

Exhibit A: This shop offers two kind of fukubukuro, the red, and the yellow one. The red one costs 10000yen, but it contains 8 items, each prize range between 8000 to 20000 yen, given a total of about 80000yen worth of items. The yellow one costs 20000 yen, but contain 120000 yen worth of item. By the way, the average cost of this particular shop for a cloth is 10000yen. Not a shop that I would go on a weekly or even monthly basis.

i end up bought the red bag one.

btw,the salesgirl's shirt looks like the fukubukuro too.

Fukubukuro is a great way to change your wardrobe, or to buy lot of stuffs from a brand you especially like, or just for the joy of seeing what you get after opening the bag. ( And it`s also great for those who dont care what he wears and rarely buy cloths for himself.. I mean, themselves... :"p )

Other things that I bought through fukubukuro:

A set of branded perfumes ( which all smells very nice.. )
I got all of these for just 5000 yen. --normally the cost for one bottle here in Japan--

Accecories ( all for 1000 yen )

I got 4 sets of earings. which costs 1365yen each for normal price.~ the funny thing is, my ears aren`t pierced. T_T

Last but not least, from the red bag I bought earlier.

Winter is dull. seriusly. Everything is white, some roads are closed, above anything else the coldness is suffocating. Hibernating is a best choice for most creatures hands down.

It`s time for.......SNOWBOARDING!!!!!! hehehe~ Well, continuing the last year snowboard gathering "tradition" , us ( me, Aki, shah ) were count responsable of organizing this year snowboard gathering. It was hard, heck, it was nerve-wrecking, seriusly-we-dont-want-to-organize-again-next-year-kanben-shite-kure!-tiring-. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground red pepper
4 boneless chicken breasts
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 can Campbell's Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup (instead of chicken soup i used campbell's clam n potato soup)
1/4 cup sliced green onion
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream

1. Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper and red pepper on plate. Coat chicken.
2. Heat butter in skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken 10 minutes or until browned. Set chicken aside.
3. Add soup and green onions. Heat to a boil. Return chicken to pan. Cover and cook over low heat 10 minutes or until chicken is done. Stir in sour creames.then serve with fries,mash potatos,and salad.♥♥

my first rolls and pretzels ( pardon the spelling, one hasn`t been eating a spesific thing for more than 3 years is bound to forget the actual spelling ). Urm~ easy to make, delicious to eat ( senang dimasak sedap dimakan ). Sometimes i put some cheese or pretzle salt above the bread; just for the sake of it ( note to self : too much salt is bad for health and food ) .
